Just missing a little bit of cork all the way at the bottom, it does not affect any performance. Also, the indentation on the top side of the cork, is made that way, for a thumb rest. I have a few of these and they are all like this. . Colors still nice and crisp, guides and reel seat also great. It does have minor nicks and rubs, .
